I absolutely love adding touches of each season into our home and autumn is definitely one of my favourite times of year. There is just something about bringing in those warm fall tones that makes me so happy and makes our home feel cozy.
This year I let the kids add in some fun Halloween elements and even though it isn’t picture perfect, I love how happy it makes them. I think letting your kids do things just makes your house feel even more like home and they feel it too. We spend all our time in this family space and I love that it’s constantly evolving.
Bringing in different colours and textures is easy when you are working with a neutral base. This sofa that I custom designed with Kavuus is just the perfect backdrop to all of my fall pillows and I love how versatile it is. When I designed this sofa I really wanted it to be deep and cozy and let me tell ya- it’s the coziest sofa I have ever sat on! (It’s called the Loren on their site and I have the colour bamboo beige).
I also designed this ottoman and this warm fabric and waterfall seam detail is my favourite. I love that it’s cozy to put your feet up on but also works with a tray on top to hold decor and pretty pieces I like to have out! I tell ya, always go neutral with your furniture pieces and you will have endless options with decor and colours.
I am loving rusts, creams, beiges and metallics right now and our family room has never felt more inviting.
