Hello friends! And welcome to House of Hire’s Christmas Home Tour 🙂 I am so soooo excited to be part of this festive, holiday home tour alongside some other amazing bloggers who’s homes I know you will love! You can find all the other participants and a link to their site at the bottom of the post so make sure you check them out.
When it comes to decorating for the holiday’s or any event really, I always take a less is more approach. I don’t get too themey because really like for the seasonal decor to blend in with my existing style around the house. I feel like when you do this you can enjoy your decor for longer because it feels like it is just another layer to your already existing design.
I am SO in love with our King of Christmas King Flock Prelit Tree like oh..my…goodness. I don’t know how I didn’t have a prelit tree before. I am definitely a changed woman and don’t think I will ever be able to go back to wrapping lights around a tree haha! Also speaking of the tree, you may notice I don’t have anything on top of it- no I didn’t forget, honestly I have been looking for something really specific and simply have not found it yet, so the tree is topperless haha.
Also if you love my faux mantle I created I did a tutorial on it I will have linked here! Finally all my beautiful mud cloth pillows are from this lovely Woven Edge Shop and I am so in love with them! They really bring in great texture and make the room feel so fresh. Also the natural coloured poufs in front of the fireplace are from the online shop Marrakeshine. Ok enough jibber jabbering let’s get to the good stuff!
Your next stop is Kate over at Wynn & Roo!
Kind thoughts,
