Well the day has finally come guys!! I am so excited to be sharing the reveal of the master bedroom with you all and big thank you to Alexa and Luke from NxN Photography for the beautiful photos. I have to say, I am so in love with how it turned out. I keep waking up every morning and looking around and seriously cannot believe that this is our bedroom. It’s everything I was hoping, fresh, airy and bright, but still cozy and inviting. I love all the different layers in the room starting with that beautiful hand woven rug that I talked about herefrom Nuloom, it is just the perfect base to build from.
When it comes to bedroom styling I love to take a minimalist approach because the less clutter the better and anything that helps promote sleep and relaxation is key so I tried to curate items that have a purpose and are beautiful at the same time. The fabric from Tonic Living completely transformed the bed and I can not believe how much better it looks now in the neutral colour- it seriously looks like a brand new bed! You all know I am a throw pillow lover at heart and these throw pillows, they are just the perfect touch to simple and classic look I was going for. Janine over at Tonic Living has the most beautiful prints and fabrics and everything in her store is just to die for!
And I mean can we just talk about this board and batten wall?! Like what a dream, it turned out exactly as I was hoping and I am so grateful to my husband and father for getting it done-it truly makes our room feel so custom to us and adds such architectural interest to the wall. I adore the juju hat over the bed- it brings such great texture to the room and is the perfect piece layered over the accent wall because it doesn’t compete with it.
The dresser is the “Snower 6 Drawer Dresser” from Structube and it is sooo gorgeous, I love how sleek and simple the front is, yet it still makes an impact. The storage is great which is always a must when it comes to bedroom furniture and I love the details of the hairpin legs. It has soft close drawers that are so quite to open and close which is amazing since our old dresser drawers where so loud. Anything that will make things quieter is a win in my books especially when your baby’s nursery is on the other side of the wall haha. I also love all the rounded corners, it gives this momma some peace of mind with the kids always running around and treating the rug in the room like a race track.
The white Moroccan pouf is so gorgeous and brings another great layer into the space, it is super comfortable to sit on and looks so perfect beside the dresser. As I mentioned in week 4’s update it’s from a beautiful Etsy shop which I will have the link for, along with everything else down below. I am also so in love my Saje Wellness diffuser, it is such an amazing print and fits in with the decor perfectly. If you haven’t checked them out I highly suggest it, these are just the best and make your home smell like like a dream!
I am in love with our lamps, they are the perfect size for the nightstand and I love the way the brass pops in the room and brings in some warmth to the otherwise, fairly monochromatic room.
And there you have it folks, I hope you all enjoyed this reveal and had fun following me on the One Room Challengejourney. There were some bumps along the way and 6 weeks definitely goes quick when you are re-designing a space. The ceiling light fixture I want was out of stock so I wasn’t able to get it before the reveal but I will post an update picture once I have it. Overall I couldn’t be more thrilled with our new room and I want to give a special thanks to all the amazing brands that I worked with to make this our dream space.
