I can not believe the One Room Challenge is over now and this week is the reveal! Even though this is my third time completing this challenge it still amazes me how fast it always goes by even though in the beginning it seems like there is so much time! If you want to see the first two spaces I did you can see my Master Bedroom here and my Son’s Bedroom here.
Incase today is your first time hearing about the One Room Challenge it is essentially a 6 week challenge that for the first time ever was extended to 7 weeks this season. You redo a space in your home and provide weekly updates along the way until the reveal in the final week! It’s hosted by the lovely Linda over at Calling it Home and there are sooo many people that partake each season guys it’s so fun!
Ok so this project has been an exciting one in terms of the design because I went outside my colour comfort zone and I am so SO happy with how it’s come together. I am so in love with the “Tangerines and Greens” wall decals fromUrban Walls, they suit the space so much and bring in great texture and colour. They were a dream to install and I loved having the ability to place certain sizes and scales in whatever place I thought they worked best. We took the board and batten wall up a little over half of the wall so that the decals would really draw the eye up and I can’t believe how much larger it has made the space feel- it’s crazy!
If you are just tuning into this journey now you can see the previous weeks updates below:
Week One | Week Two | Week Three | Week Four | Week Five | Week Six
Since this is a powder room and it only has a pedestal sink in it I desperately needed storage to house extra things for day to day use. I found this cabinet at IKEA and I am obsessed! It is the perfect height, not too deep which was one of my challenges in finding an item that worked, and feels airy and light so it doesn’t overwhelm the room.
All of these beautiful amber storage containers are from Girliture along with the floor belly basket and I am so in love with them. They really help cut down on waste of containers since they are reusable and they add a layer of glam in. I also love that they are dark so they hide how much product is left in them really well.
I absolutely love how bright, fresh and inviting this space feels now and it just jives too much better with the rest of the main level now. I love having a pretty, clean space that guests can use and that has all of the essentials.
I hope you all enjoyed this reveal, on a side note, I definitely didn’t realize the challenges that come in trying to photograph a small space like a bathroom but I made it work! 🙂
Make sure you check out all the other participants reveals here!
Kind thoughts,
Lauren Elizabeth
